January 2018 Newsletter

The wind is blowing
Snow is coming down
No soil is showing
It’ll get better so please don’t frown

Hello!
I don’t have anything for sale but I do need to connect with you.

Had a great time with the Holidays. A lot of guests, 30 total at different times. I just love to visit. I still have my Christmas up. I’ll take it down the end of January.

I’m thinking of what to do for 2018. I have a bump in the road I need to figure out. The lady who had those fabulous bedding plants Garden Party isn’t coming back. I will try to find the grower and do a small amount.

I also want to screen in the open Pergola and have a Coffee Bar. A great place to sit and also they can purchase a cookie to enjoy. I always wanted a place for people to gather.

Marc from The Noble Lion in Victoria wants to do two Farm to Table Dinners in June and August. I love events. Its something to aspire to.

I’ll have Barn Quilt Tours again. They are fun. Meet new people, share what I do. The lady who does the tours is Janet Fahey from Norwood-Young America 612-382-4512. If you put a group together from your church, book club or whatever, call her for information about this.

I need help with gardening. I’m short help to plant, weed, harvest, water (and visit).

I’m healthy, cats are fine. They live in the Hen House during the cold weather.

I lost my dear friend of 50 years Dec 27. She was one-of-a-kind person. A wonderful folk artist at the MN State Fair for 43 years, Yvonne Brown.

Enjoy the winter. Make real pop corn. Write letters. Call Friends.
