Hello!
My Web Lady has been on vacation so I didn’t write.
This year is a learning year, nothing stays the same.
I do need to say my fields (what didn’t die) are the best in years. I have no blight on the tomatoes. I don’t know if it is the lack of rain (I didn’t water) or the Chicken Pellet Fertilizer.
The Lettuce, Onions, and Rhubarb took the worst hit. Cucumbers struggle some, but not bad. We mulch with meadow hay, that helped.
Tomatoes are finally ripening. They have been awful slow. Carrots and Beets are fabulous, also Eggplant, Peppers and Zucchini. Beans struggled a little.
The fall gathering is some weeks off yet. Gourds, pumpkins, broom corn need more time.
We are starting to gather Sunflowers and Zinnia for your pleasure. Fun to have fresh flowers in the house. This year I will have Chinese Lanterns. I’ve tried for years to grow them – I finally made it.
The Popover Shop was fabulous. I was open Friday and Saturday, 10:30am to 1:30pm. It is in the Coffee Shack. I use real dishes, not paper plates or cups. Real linen on the table.
I serve Coffee. Hope to do Tea soon, Water and the Popover. You can have Honey Butter or Butter, 2 kinds of Jam, real cream for your coffee, not powder. I love to sell the sizzle.
I’m the hostess. I would love to find someone to help.
All the things I’ve started, this Popover Shop has taken off the best. There is nowhere to get a Popover. They are fabulous. I use Organic Valley Milk, Farm Fresh Eggs, North Dakota Maid Flour. I bought Nordic Ware Popover pans, excellent!
