Fresh ProduceHurray for the Red, White and Blue!
Happy 4th of July!!

Hello!
Summer is here and it’s great! Life is good.

Farming was a challenge to get the fields planted. They are growing great now. Need rain. We were 7 weeks to get started. That’s farming.

The Popover sales are fun. Had to regroup with new pans and recipe. We used a Pam Spray in the pans and it built up in the pan and the Popovers stuck. Got new pans, used Crisco and that was magic. Never too old to learn. They are excellent. I have them for sale Friday and Saturday. I have the Shack Open for Coffee too. Fun. We serve Honey Butter or Jam with them. Shack Open at 10:3-am – 2pm. Call to reserve if needed.

Got Blossom End Rot on Tomato?

If you plant Tomato in a pot on your deck, you may have a problem as you did not buy good soil as your pot is too small. Please don’t buy cheap soil.
If you do a raised bed, you need to change the soil every season. Also add a compost manure to it. I sell Chicken (organic) Pellets for a great garden (2023).
You need to mulch the pots. Do not use your grass clippings as they may have spray on them. Use hay. I sell bales. Or strip newspaper, put it in water then put it around your plant. It will not dry out so fast. Gardening is an art. Fun to learn. Hay bales are $7.50 each.
