Don’t walk in the clover
I know the 4th of July is over
Take a walk in the garden
You don’t need a pardon

Hello!

It’s finally getting better to farm. I don’t know if this season has taught me anything. The weeds love the rain. Everything is really pretty and lush. You can’t see through the trees, so thick with leaves.

The Geraniums don’t like all this rain. They don’t want to grow. There is always something not happy.

The deer are busy visiting my fields. They ate the hearts out of the Romaine, took the blossoms off part of a row of Peas. We have the Lettuce covered. Now Don fenced in the Peas. The new Romaine is covered. I do not have rabbits. The cats take care of them.

Speaking of cats, there are some new kittens somewhere. I have a lady cat I could not catch to fix her. She is orange and white. Can’t wait to find them. Can’t remember if I told you my Morse got killed on the highway. I don’t loose much on that road. I have 4 adults and kittens now.

I have a Garlic lesson for you if you grow Garlic. The scapes are forming now. You need to cut them off at the back. You will get a better garlic bulb. You can harvest Garlic when the greens dry down. It’s the end of July, but with this late spring, it may be in the middle of August.

The 4th of July is the end of picking Rhubarb. You will ruin the roots for next year.
