The lawns need mowing
Robins are singing
The garden needs hoeing
And hear the Church bells ringing
Hello!
I think the weather has turned the corner. There is one field left to open and one field is still too wet. The Tomatoes and Peppers just got planted. There is a lot of time left to plant your garden. The soil is finally getting warm so the plants will take off and grow fine. The soil is sometimes not great to plant, does not crumble.
Our big field tiller broke on Friday. You know nothing breaks when you don’t need it. I do have a smaller tiller with a lawn tractor (John Deere). That should work for awhile but I do need to call the Lano Company in Norwood to pick it up and fix it. Fun to be a farmer sometimes.
The Coffee Shack has been a challenge. Maybe when people are looking for a special outing they will be here. It’s a great place to enjoy and visit with your friends. It’s great to do this on my Farm.

The Rhubarb is excellent. I’m sure it’s all the rain we had. The sales are great. Don’t remember when I’ve sold so much Rhubarb. Remember, the harvest for Rhubarb ends July 4th. Your plants need to re-coup for the next year. Never cut stalks, you always pull Rhubarb.
The local Asparagus is also excellent. It too liked the rain. The Georgia Peaches are here. So wonderful to have them. They are fabulous. Made Peaches and Cream Bars for sale on Saturday. Hope to have local Strawberries by June 18th. Everything is a little late.
