Hello!
Closing time is getting near. I really have a hard time to be done. The season was a challenge and it made my brains work overtime. As a Farmer, I say next year will be better.
The fabulous Watermelon and Muskmelon are done. Too wet and not enough sun to get ripe. The Color Corn never set cobs. The Broom Corn does not want to tassel. Heavens what a year. The Lettuce loved the rain and cool weather.
Hennrette is doing great. She is the star at The Farm. She sits by the fence that the other chickens are in, people think she needs to go in the fence, so they put her in there. She doesn’t like that. She fusses to be let out. Fun to watch her when I let her out to roam the Farm. She likes the cats. Also likes their food.
My Raspberries are starting to ripen. Excellent flavor. I have them on ice cream. The production isn’t great, but nothing is.
Pumpkins, Gourds, Fall Squash are starting. The warm weather this week will help them cure. The Mums are ready for your fall decor. They are not my favorite plant but it’s the season.
One of my new elves is a fabulous display lady. Check out her flare in the Coffee Shack and Red Shack, also the Mercantile Area in the Barn.
Had a Bus Tour Saturday Sept 21 – 12 people from Northern suburbs, fun to have them. That’s the end of the Tours this season.
Carver County wants to do a Tour of this great County. I was asked to help that project, love that.
