Soon we will be Hoeing

Hello! Soon it can be time to plant. Be careful not to get in your soil too soon. Make sure the soil will crumble in your hand. Also, when you plant potted plants, if the pot is root bound, try to separate the roots a bit or cut them off about 1/8 to 1/4 inch. This will give you better new roots and a robust plant.
I need someone who loves to garden. My raspberry patch needs a weeder and caretaker. They are a fabulous Fall variety – Heritage. They are ripe the end of August into all of September. The weeds are done by then, so it’s time to harvest and enjoy. This is not an every day task. I also can use help in the field to weed and care, lady or man.
May 11 is my Sister Saturday Event. I have a Veterans program to honor Veterans at 11am. I will open my Coffee Shack. There will be a Charity Tip Jar to donate to the Veterans Memorial Park in Mayer, MN. They sell a brick for $250.00 to honor a Veteran. This helps someone who needs money to buy one. the Park is by the Trail, next to the Lumber co.
I have Onion sets, Vegetable Seeds, Seed Potatoes to get started. Also Strawberry Rhubarb Clumps.
I’ll write again soon.
