The months and days are ticking along. I’m really excited for the new growing season. What a gift I have and can share.

The Holidays were special. I was happy to have a lot of guests to enjoy. My last gathering were friends from my church. It was to say blessings to a Preacher Friend of mine, Pastor Peter Meier and wife Kathy. They help plant churches. Maybe it’s because we plant that we connected. He was in Mayer MN to preach and Leon & I would go there for Easter 6:30AM Sunrise Service. I like those, the church we went to didn’t have Sunrise Services. We have been friends for years, nice.

I also had the Houlihan group from Minnetonka for lunch in January. There were 9 guests. It was so special. I had two of my elves to do the serving and prepare the food like the coleslaw and sloppy joes, excellent! I made the sponge cake. It was just a highlight of my entertaining. I just love to do this.

I’ve started to order garden seeds for the 2020 season. Have some here already. I never get tired of this passion.

I need to rethink my Coffee Shack for 2020. It didn’t ignite like I thought. So back to the drawing board. I think I’ll do popovers to sell with whipped honey butter for morning, maybe all day, or stop at noon and serve pound cake in the afternoon. I know the genius who started the Rain Forest Cafe at the Mall of America. His advice was never give up, so I won’t. I would think everyone would love Coffee At The Farm. I would love to have your input on this project!!! Do I need a Hostess to seat people? Open 9AM instead of 10AM? Close at 2PM instead of 3PM?

I’ve met a new friend. She is on the Waconia City Council. She is a Liaison for Waconia Chamber. Speaking of Chamber, Kellie Sites, the president, will do a Swan Song in June 2020. We all will miss her, she has been a fabulous engine to run that train. Her husband is retiring to Washington. So she needs to go with. They have family in that state. Big shoes to fill.

Can you believe it’s time to think about ordering your CSA produce box for 2020 from Untiedt’s Vegetable Farm in Waverly MN? I have the information on my website now so you can sign up or see their flier. They are doing a smaller size box also for this season. The produce is excellent. Thanks to all who take advantage of this.

Also the new decorating is Farmhouse Style. We will do a shed with this style. Someone is trying to reinvent this. I happen to have a lot of this to sell.

That’s it for now,

Donna
